The Liverpool Hope University O2 Graduate Enterprise Award Awarded to Denny Moulds and Svet Ivanov in 2010 Every year Liverpool Hope University is to make an award to a maximum of four of its graduates who set up outstanding new businesses. 2010 saw the first of these new awards and Denny and Svet were two of the first of its winners. This award is highly competitive and is judged by a panel of internal Senior and Business Managers as well as Senior Managers in the Business and Third Sectors. The panel was extremely impressed by Denny and Svet‘s business plan, their presentation and detailed outline of their business aspirations. They combined a highly creative and skilful drive with a sound business approach to what is a highly competitive market. The award provides them with an interest free £10k loan, incubation space at Hope and on-going business support. In addition Hope Business Gateway is happy to act as a key referee in terms of supporting the development of their business. Webpowered attend Flying Start Programme

Webpowered took part in the Flying Start Programme at the end of 2009... Flying Start is an initiative supported by the National Centre for Graduate Entrepreneurship, designed to help students and graduates from North West Higher Education Institutions set themselves up in business. As part of this remit they work with North West Higher Education institutions to stage a range of events and workshops which inspire and inform students and graduates and give them the support structure they need to start their new enterprises. From Mon 30th November to Wed 2nd December 2009 Liverpool Hope University very successfully hosted its first 3 day Flying Start event at the Conference Centre at Hope Park. The event was attended by 27 participants most of whom were Hope students or graduates. The programme was organised by Flying Start in association with Carol Buckman, Hope Business Gateway Manager and Neil Campbell, a Hope Enterprise Champion. O2 Graduate Enterprise Award Scheme

O2 Graduate Enterprise Award Scheme awarded to Webpowered... The University has teamed up with the UK's fastest growing mobile phone company, O2, and the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship to offer key awards to enterprise initiatives being developed by Hope Graduates. The benefits of the awards are: * a £10,000 interest free business loan * specifically designed business training support * incubation space at the University for 12 months * administrative and networking data support * the branding endorsement of the University This year's O2 awards winners are Laura McGann, who has set up her own film production company; Chloe Robertson, who is entering the competitive hand-crafted jewellery market; and Denny Moulds and Svet Ivanov, who together have set up a web design initiative aimed at new businesses.
